Day 2: Soaring to New Heights (17.05.2024)
With excitement in the air, we take flight from New Delhi to Leh, where the warm hospitality of ITBP Choglamsar awaits us, ushering us into the heart of Ladakh.
Day 3: Embracing Spiritual Serenity (18.05.2024)
Our day is filled with reverence and awe as we visit the sacred Shri Paththar Sahib Gurudwara, experience the confluence of the mighty Indus and Zanskar rivers at Sangam, and seek blessings at the tranquil Kali Mata Mandir and Monastery. The Hall of Fame Museum pays homage to the brave souls who protect our borders, while the Shanti Stupa offers a moment of peace amidst the majestic mountains.
Day 4: Delving into History and Culture (19.05.2024)
Exploring Ladakh's rich heritage, we visit the ancient Shey Palace & Monastery, the serene Thiksey Monastery, and the majestic Hemis Monastery. Rancho's School exemplifies the region's commitment to education, while Leh Palace stands as a testament to its royal past. As night falls, we are enchanted by the captivating tales of valor at the Hall of Fame's Light & Sound Show.
Day 5: Adventure Beckons (20.05.2024)
Conquering the legendary Khardungla Pass, we ascend to new heights, exhilarated by the thrill of the journey. At Diskit Gompa, we find solace amidst the ancient walls, before embarking on a magical camel ride through the golden sands of Nubra Valley.
Day 6: Bridging Cultures, Celebrating Unity (21.05.2024)
In the village of Turtuk, we stand at the crossroads of nations, where the boundaries blur and humanity prevails. As evening descends, we immerse ourselves in the vibrant traditions of Ladakhi culture, dancing under the starlit sky in Hunder.
Day 7: Reflections on Azure Waters and Endless Skies (22.05.2024)
Pangong Lake, a shimmering jewel amidst the rugged landscape, reflects the infinite beauty of the heavens above. Crossing Changla Pass, we return to Leh, where the bustling markets teem with life, each corner a treasure trove of local delights.
Day 8: Homeward Bound, Hearts Forever Enthralled (23.05.2024)
As we bid farewell to the land of high passes and hidden valleys, we carry with us memories that will last a lifetime. Special thanks to Mr. Ashok Negi, DIG, ITBP, and Mrs. Negi Hukma Mehta, TGT (Sanskrit), for their unparalleled hospitality and kindness, which transformed our journey into an unforgettable adventure.
